At Benmar, we skip the unnecessary. That means no foil on the neck — it’s purely decorative and adds waste. We also intentionally use lighter glass bottles. Why? Because heavier glass doesn’t make the wine better — it just burns more fossil fuel during shipping and production. Traditional wine packaging often leans into “heft equals quality,” but that’s outdated.
Glassmaking is energy-intensive, with high emissions tied to raw materials and furnace temps exceeding 2,500°F. By choosing lighter bottles, we reduce our carbon footprint without compromising a drop of quality. Every Benmar wine is crafted to overdeliver — just without the excess baggage.
At Benmar, our labels are like our wines: honest, unembellished, and designed to speak for themselves. You won’t find shiny foils, raised lettering, embossing, UV gloss, or other costly flourishes that look fancy but don’t improve what’s inside the bottle.
These “embellishments” — like metallic inks, embossing, spot varnishes, or foil stamping — are common in the wine industry to signal prestige or luxury. But for us, it’s simple: we focus on what matters — sourcing great fruit and making wines with soul — not decorative tricks.
We believe the real luxury is what’s in the glass, not what’s on the shelf.
We use Xpür® corks from Amorim, the global leader in natural cork innovation. These corks are TCA-free thanks to a sustainable, non-toxic CO₂ extraction process. Made from renewable, biodegradable cork oak, they support forests that actually live longer and store more carbon when harvested responsibly.
It’s a clean closure that respects the wine, the planet, and your experience with every pour.
